CPO Futures End Lower Amid Weaker Soybean Oil Prices

By Danni Haizal Danial Donald

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 21 (Bernama) -- Crude palm oil (CPO) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended lower on Wednesday, as weaker soybean oil prices weighed on market sentiment.

Iceberg X Sdn Bhd proprietary trader David Ng said concerns over elevated Malaysian palm oil inventories and expectations of record October palm oil production dampened market sentiment. “We see immediate support around RM4,600 per tonne, while resistance is expected at RM4,800, with market direction likely to remain sensitive to movements in soybean oil and energy prices,” he told Bernama.
