“The latest award further strengthens the company’s track record at the MCIEA, having previously earned the Best Builder title in 2001, 2002, and 2015, and the Best Contractor title in 2009 and 2012,” it said.

The award, presented at a ceremony at The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur on Oct 29, serves as a driving force for the company to continue setting new benchmarks in corporate leadership, technical capability, and innovative project delivery, it added.

Major projects highlighted in the award submission included TRX Residences and Menara UOB 2 in Kuala Lumpur, as well as Menara HASIL in Penang.

While the construction of TRX Residences recorded over seven million safe man-hours without lost-time injuries and aimed for LEED Gold and Green Building Index (GBI) Gold certifications, Menara HASIL Penang was completed nearly two months ahead of schedule with an 86 per cent QLASSIC score.

In line with the progress of the National Semiconductor Strategy (NSS), IJM Construction has also expanded its business portfolio into the data centre, semiconductor manufacturing facility, and electrical and electronics (E&E) sectors.

The company secured RM909.5 million in semiconductor and medical technology project wins in August 2026, followed by a RM1.23 billion contract for a semiconductor manufacturing facility at the Kulim Hi-Tech Park (KHTP) in October.

The statement added that the company was well-positioned to navigate its next phase of growth by leveraging its advanced engineering capabilities and digital construction methods.

"As the construction industry evolves, IJM Construction remains focused on strengthening its engineering capabilities, embracing innovation, and raising standards in safety, quality, and project delivery," it said.

Following the award of the new contracts, IJM Construction’s outstanding order book stands at approximately RM10.6 billion, providing a robust pipeline of work across building construction, advanced industrial facilities and civil engineering.
