RedPlanet Bhd Bags RM7.09 Mln Purchase Order For Sabah Solar Plant
KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 4 (Bernama) -- RedPlanet Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, AZTI Systems Sdn Bhd, has secured a RM7.09 million purchase order for works related to a 15-megawatt alternating current (MWac) large-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) plant in Batu Sapi, Sandakan, Sabah.
In a statement, the enterprise information and communications technology solutions provider said the order was awarded by a Malaysian-incorporated company.
The scope of work covers supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) and system integration engineering design, as well as the supply of electrical, control, automation and digital systems equipment.
Managing director Lian Wah Seng said the order provides an opportunity for the group to apply its engineering and systems integration capabilities to the requirements of a large-scale solar PV project.
“Our scope combines SCADA and system integration engineering design with the supply of electrical, control, automation and digital systems equipment.
“Our focus will be on working closely with the awarder to deliver the agreed scope, leveraging AZTI Systems’ technical capabilities and the group’s resources to support project execution,” he said.
The project is expected to take six months to complete, with the commencement date to be mutually agreed by both parties, he added.
RedPlanet said the purchase order is expected to contribute positively to the group’s earnings per share and net assets per share throughout the contract period.
