PUTRAJAYA, Sept 8 (Bernama) -- The government is studying ways to increase the income of smallholders and ensure the agri-commodity sector continues to drive the country’s economic growth, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 29 (Bernama) -- The Rubber Production Incentive (IPG) for August 2026 in Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah, and Sarawak was not activated because cup lump rubber’s monthly average farm gate price was above RM3.00 per kilogramme (kg).
SEREMBAN, July 28 (Bernama) -- The minimum price of rubber is targeted to hit RM5 per kilogramme by the end of 2027 as part of efforts to improve the income and standard of living of more than 500,000 rubber smallholders nationwide, said Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
KUALA LUMPUR, June 30 (Bernama) -- No Rubber Production Incentive (IPG) payment will be made to rubber smallholders for June 2026 because the average monthly farmgate prices of cuplump had remained above the activation threshold in Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak.
