Arla Foods Ingredients To Showcase Whey Solutions At FIC 2026
KUALA LUMPUR, March 11 (Bernama) -- Arla Foods Ingredients will showcase a range of innovative food and nutrition solutions at Food Ingredients China 2026 (FIC 2026) in Shanghai from March 17 to 19.
According to the company in a statement, it will highlight solutions based on Variolac whey permeate, designed to help manufacturers create cost-effective formulations while maintaining strong taste performance across dairy, bakery and other applications.
The whey permeate ingredient can partially replace skimmed milk powder, sweet whey powder, lactose and maltodextrin, helping optimise formulations and improve processing efficiency.
With mild dairy flavour, good powder flowability and solubility, it supports consistent product performance in applications such as ready-to-drink beverages, yoghurt, powder beverages, bakery and confectionery.
In addition, the company will present concepts across targeted nutrition segments, including Lacprodan BLG-100 acidic whey protein for ready-to-stir medical nutrition solutions, three ambient dairy concepts, and a protein soda containing 10 grammes of protein per serving with zero sugar.
It will also feature premium ingredients for early life nutrition, such as alpha-lactalbumin, milk fat globule membrane and whey protein hydrolysate.
The concepts and applications will be showcased at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai.
