Inari Amertron Among Most Active Stocks During Early Trade Amid Stronger Outlook

KUALA LUMPUR, May 28 (Bernama) -- Inari Amertron Berhad emerged as one of the most actively traded stocks in early trading today, driven by optimism over the group’s promising outlook for financial years 2027 and 2028 (FY2027-2028) amid the ongoing semiconductor industry boom.

At 10.32 am, the shares of the outsourced semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT) provider rose eight sen to RM2.30, with a total of 18.90 million shares traded.

In a note today, Hong Leong Investment Bank Bhd viewed datacom photonics as Inari’s new structural growth driver.

This is underpinned by accelerating optical adoption in artificial intelligence data centres (AI DC) and persistent supply tightness for high-power electro-absorption modulated laser (EML) chips.

“With capacity set to scale materially over FY2027-2028 and investor appreciation of this opportunity still early, we see scope for further earnings upgrades as execution unfolds.

“Therefore, we raise our FY2027-2028 earnings per share (EPS) forecast by eight/19 per cent and maintain a ‘buy’ call with an upgraded target price of RM2.60 per share, largely reflecting the strong ramp at the datacom photonics segment,” it said.
