Hack The Box Expands AI Cyber Readiness Platform

KUALA LUMPUR, June 24 (Bernama) -- Hack The Box (HTB), a cybersecurity training and workforce development platform provider, has introduced new capabilities designed to help organisations assess cyber skills, measure team performance and strengthen operational readiness as artificial intelligence (AI) reshapes the threat landscape.

The enhancements combine Security Operations Center (SOC) training, crisis simulations, AI-assisted learning and workforce intelligence tools to help organisations identify skills gaps and improve cyber readiness. The expansion follows HTB's acquisition of Let's Defend, which strengthened its offensive, defensive and purple-team training capabilities.

HTB said organisations are increasingly adopting collaborative security models as AI reshapes cybersecurity roles and drives demand for advanced skills. According to its Cybersecurity Workforce Intelligence Report released in May, the shift is prompting chief information security officers (CISOs) to rethink workforce planning.

"The nature of security work is changing rapidly, and security leaders need a clear understanding of the capabilities their organisations require and where critical gaps remain," said HTB founder and chief executive officer, Haris Pylarinos in a statement.

Among the new offerings is SOC Range, a simulated training environment that enables analysts to develop and validate incident response skills before handling live threats. HTB Academy now offers more than 230 defensive security courses, while SOC Range features over 250 alerts across a range of security operations scenarios.

HTB also launched Crisis Control, a crisis simulation capability that combines technical investigations with executive decision-making exercises to help organisations evaluate response readiness. Another addition, HTB Coach, uses AI-powered learning assistance to provide real-time guidance and accelerate cybersecurity skills development.

The platform further introduces enterprise workforce development and curriculum management capabilities, enabling organisations to deliver structured or self-directed learning programmes while tracking skills progression and readiness across teams.

The company will further expand its blue-team portfolio with a new Detection Engineering learning path launching this month and a corresponding certification planned for the third quarter.

HTB also recently secured Department of Defense Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) 8140 approval for its Defense Operations Analyst certification programme and added its Certified Offensive AI Expert certification to Synack’s SRT Pathways programme.
