MAHB, Mitsui Fudosan To Develop RM80 Mln Subang Air Cargo Logistics Complex

SUBANG, July 9 (Bernama) -- Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) and Mitsui Fudosan Group (Mitsui Fudosan) will undertake an RM80 million investment to develop a new air cargo logistics complex, with MAHB holding a 30 per cent stake and Mitsui Fudosan owning the remaining 70 per cent.

Transport Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook said the partnership was part of MAHB’s strategy to leverage its airport land assets by combining them with the expertise of strategic partners in developing and operating logistics complexes.

“In this regard, I understand they (Mitsui Fudosan) have expertise in Japan. They have also built and operated logistics complexes at Haneda Airport. Therefore, this will greatly assist us in minimising the risks to Malaysia Airports,” he told reporters after the groundbreaking ceremony for the Subang maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) Logistics Complex Project here on Thursday.
