According to PRG’s 2025 annual report, the energy efficiency division was the group’s key growth engine last year with revenue surging to RM154.7 million from RM98.6 million in 2024. In both revenue and profit, it outperformed the other divisions, including property and construction, manufacturing and agriculture.

The board also welcomes the appointment of Shahjanaz Kamaruddin as a director of the company. A qualified lawyer, she is currently a director at fertiliser manufacturer Hextar Industries.

PRG said its board approved these appointments on July 6, 2026, following deliberations on the group's leadership and organisational requirements.

Chan had informed the board on that date that he would be stepping down as group managing director and executive director.

“The board believes these leadership changes provide continuity while reinforcing the company's ongoing commitment to sound governance, accountability and responsible stewardship.

“The transition reflects the board's responsibility to ensure that the company's leadership remains aligned with its strategic priorities and the long-term interests of the company and its shareholders,” it said.
