KLCI Futures Close Lower

KUALA LUMPUR, July 24 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed lower on Friday in line with the cash market. 

The July 2026 contract erased 19 points to 1,702.0, August 2026 fell 18.5 points to 1,702.5, September 2026 dropped 18.5 points to 1,682.0, and December 2026 lost 13 points to 1,684.5.

Turnover increased to 11,798 lots compared with 6,297 on Thursday, while open interest rose to 51,094 contracts from 45,316 previously.

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI declined 13.57 points, or 0.79 per cent, to 1,701.02, from Thursday's close of 1,714.59.
