Gold Futures Close Higher, Tracking US COMEX Gains
KUALA LUMPUR, July 27 (Bernama) -- Gold futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed higher today, tracking gains on the US Commodity Exchange (COMEX).
At the close, the spot-month July 2026 contract rose to US$4,093.90 per troy ounce from US$4,054.50 per troy ounce on Friday last week, the August 2026 contract increased to US$4,114.50 per troy ounce from US$4,074.20 per troy ounce, and September 2026 was higher at US$4,124.80 per troy ounce from US$4,087.00 per troy ounce.
The October 2026 and December 2026 contracts both went up to US$4,155.30 per troy ounce from US$4,117.50 per troy ounce previously.
Trading volume fell to 41 lots from 134 lots last week, while open interest decreased to 117 contracts from 210 contracts previously.
Physical gold was fixed at US$4,067.30 per troy ounce at the London Bullion Market Association’s afternoon fix on July 24, 2026.
