LYC Healthcare Faces Possible Trading Suspension Due To Delay In Submitting Annual Report

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 3 (Bernama) --  LYC Healthcare Bhd (LYC) faces a possible trading suspension after the company failed to submit its annual report that includes the annual audited financial statements together with the auditors' and directors' reports for the financial year ended March 31, 2026.

Bursa Malaysia Securities said the company has failed to submit the report within the timeframe of July 31, 2026, as required under ACE Market listing requirements. “Pursuant to the listing requirements (LR), if a listed issuer fails to issue the outstanding financial statements within five market days after the expiry of the relevant timeframes stated in the LR, Bursa Securities will suspend the trading in the securities of such listed corporation.”

The suspension will be effected on the next market day after the suspension deadline.

“In view of the above and if LYC is unable to submit the outstanding 2026 annual report on or before Aug 7, 2026, the trading in the above company's securities will be suspended with effect from 9.00 am, Monday, August 10, 2026 until further notice,” it said in a stock exchange filing.

Bursa Securities said that if a listed corporation fails to issue the outstanding financial statements within six months from the expiry of the relevant timeframes, in addition to any enforcement action that Bursa Securities may take, de-listing procedures shall be commenced against such listed corporation.

Earlier on July 28, LYC said the company may not be able to issue its 2026 annual report as it requires additional time to work together with the new external auditors, SBY Partners PLT, to finalise the audit expeditiously and expects to issue and submit its 2026 annual report, together with its financial statements, on or before Aug 7, 2026.

It said there was a delay in the appointment of SBY Partners PLT as its new external auditors on March 6, 2026, following the resignation of Crowe Malaysia PLT on Feb 26, 2026, due to a disagreement over audit fees.
