KLCI Futures End Mostly Lower

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 18 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed mostly lower on Tuesday.

The August 2026 and December 2026 contracts eased one point each to 1,724.5 and 1,704.0, respectively, September 2026 inched down 0.5 of a point to 1,704.0, while the March 2027 contract gained 1.5 points to 1,686.5.

Turnover increased to 9,608 lots from 4,760 lots on Monday, while open interest rose to 44,960 contracts from 40,647 contracts previously. 

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI rose 7.47 points to 1,733.36 compared with Monday’s close of 1,725.89.
