Malaysian Pacific Industries’ AI-related Revenue To Exceed RM500 Mln Annually - CIMB Securities

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 24 (Bernama) -- Malaysian Pacific Industries Bhd’s (MPI) revenue is expected to exceed RM500 million annually by financial year 2027 (FY2027), driven by artificial intelligence (AI)-related products, according to CIMB Securities Sdn Bhd.

In a research note, the research house expects AI-related products to account for 18 per cent and 23 per cent of MPI’s revenue in FY2027 and FY2028, respectively.

“We understand that the new lines are dedicated to Infineon’s next-generation power modules for AI servers.

“Infineon expects its AI data centre revenue to more than double to above 1.6 billion euros (1 euro= RM4.72) in FY2026 and has indicated that its FY2027 target of above 2.5 billion euros will be revised higher in the fourth quarter of calendar year 2026 (4Q CY2026),” CIMB Securities said.

MPI has completed its US$65 million (US$1=RM4.03) investment in new power-module capacity at Carsem Ipoh and commenced product sampling in 1Q FY2027, with maiden revenue expected from October 2026.

Meanwhile, its existing power-module packages continue to enjoy robust demand, with AI-related revenue nearly doubling year-on-year to US$84.6 million in FY2026 from US$42.5 million in FY2025, accounting for 13 per cent of group revenue, up from nine per cent in FY2025.

On MPI’s efforts to secure a major United States integrated device manufacturer as an anchor customer for Carsem Suxiang in 2027, the research firm said such potential wins would be important towards diversifying MPI’s customer base, enriching its product mix and accelerating Suxiang’s path to profitability.
