Gold Futures End Lower Tracking US COMEX
KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 26 (Bernama) -- Gold futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended lower today tracking the weaker performance of gold futures on the US Commodity Exchange (COMEX).
At the close, the spot-month August 2026 contract eased to US$4,618.0 per troy ounce from Monday’s US$4,638.50 per troy ounce, and the September 2026 contract slipped to US$4,635.50 per troy ounce from US$4,654.70 per troy ounce previously.
The October and November 2026 contracts both decreased to US$4,651.90 per troy ounce from US$4,671.70 per troy ounce, while the December 2026 and February 2027 contracts shed to US$4,659.70 per troy ounce from US$4,679.50 per troy ounce.
Trading volume fell to 354 lots from 392 lots on Monday, while open interest weakened to 425 contracts from 457 contracts previously.
Physical gold was fixed at US$4,615.45 per troy ounce at the London Bullion Market Association’s afternoon fix on Aug 25, 2026.
