Gold Futures On Malaysian Exchange End Lower, Tracking COMEX Losses

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 7 (Bernama) -- Gold futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended lower on Wednesday, tracking losses on the US Commodity Exchange (COMEX).

At the close, the October 2026 contract fell to US$4,131.10 per troy ounce from US$4,167.50 yesterday, while the November 2026 contract declined to US$4,147.40 per troy ounce from US$4,183.80.

The December 2026 contract dropped to US$4,164.30 per troy ounce from US$4,200.70 on Tuesday, while the January 2027, February 2027 and April 2027 contracts declined to US$4,164.30 from US$4,200.70 previously.

Trading volume slid to 97 lots from 133 on Tuesday, while open interest decreased to 162 contracts from 196 previously.

Physical gold was fixed at US$4,156.40 per troy ounce at the London Bullion Market Association's afternoon fix on Oct 6.
