Toluna Names Amy Fenton To Succeed Founder As CEO

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 15 (Bernama) -- Toluna, a global leader in consumer insights and market research technology, has appointed Amy Fenton as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), succeeding founder Frédéric Charles Petit, who has led the company for 25 years.

The appointment, effective Oct 15, concludes the succession process announced on Oct 8, which was led by the board in consultation with Petit and supported by an executive search firm.

In a statement, Toluna Chairman, Bruce Haymes said the board had set out to find a leader who combines deep knowledge of the insights industry and its clients with hands-on experience of transforming a research business through technology and artificial intelligence (AI), adding: “Amy is that leader.”

Meanwhile, Fenton said Toluna would accelerate its growth by combining human insight and AI to deliver predictive intelligence that gives clients confidence in making real-time decisions.

“My first priority is to spend time with our clients and our world-class team to understand the decisions that matter most to clients and to make Toluna indispensable to them,” she added.

Fenton has more than 30 years of experience in the insights and analytics industry. She joins Toluna from MarketCast, where she served as CEO and a member of the board of directors after leading the company’s operations, insights and analytics.

Before MarketCast, she was Chief Client Officer for North America at Kantar, and Chief Client Officer and Chief Marketing Officer for North America at Ipsos. She earlier spent 25 years at Nielsen in leadership roles across North America, Europe and Latin America.

“When I said this was the right moment for new leadership, I hoped we would find a leader like Amy,” said Petit, who will remain with Toluna as a board member, senior adviser and shareholder.

Toluna said Petit and Fenton had worked together through a defined handover to ensure the company’s strategy, client commitments and day-to-day operations continue without disruption.
