Ardens Lifescience Wins MedTech Innovator Asia Pacific Grand Prize
KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 27 (Bernama) -- MedTech Innovator (MTI) announced Ardens Lifescience has won the 2026 MedTech Innovator Asia Pacific Grand Prize, taking home US$175,000 for a system that treats peripheral lung cancer by destroying tumours with radiofrequency energy delivered through the airways. (US$1 = RM4.08)
The audience chose the winner at the MedTech Innovator Asia Pacific Showcase & Grand Finals in Singapore, after four finalists presented to an audience of industry leaders and investors and took questions from a panel of medical technology executives, organiser MedTech Innovator said in a statement.
In a statement, MTI said the other finalists, BaiYi Healthcare Technology, Eyes of AI and Physiologas Technology, each received US$10,000.
MTI founder and chief executive officer, Paul Grand said the technology had the potential to overcome key limitations of existing treatments, enabling more precise tumour targeting while preserving healthy lung tissue.
The 2026 Grand Finals capped a four-month accelerator programme involving 20 medical technology companies selected from more than 680 applications.
Throughout the four-month accelerator, participating companies received tailored mentorship, strategic guidance, and opportunities to engage with leading medtech corporations, investors, healthcare stakeholders, and industry experts.
Now in its eighth year, MedTech Innovator Asia Pacific helps medical technology companies connect with strategic partners and market opportunities across the region.
