KUALA LUMPUR, July 20 (Bernama) -- Energy security remains a cornerstone of Malaysia’s transition to a low-carbon future, with innovation playing a critical role in ensuring a reliable and sustainable electricity supply for households, businesses and industries.
KUALA LUMPUR, July 7 (Bernama) -- Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) has supplied electricity to 36 operating data centres with a planned supply capacity of around 4.5 gigawatts (GW) through the first quarter (1Q) of 2026, according to the Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA).
KUALA LUMPUR, July 1 (Bernama) -- Electricity consumption by the data centre sector is expected to increase significantly to 31% - equivalent to 73,274 gigawatt-hours (GWh) - by 2035, up from 7% or 10,544 GWh in 2026.
