KLCI Futures End Higher

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 21 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed higher on Friday.

The August 2026 and December 2026 contracts gained three points each to 1,741.5 and 1,720.0, while September 2026 added 2.5 points to 1,720.0 and March 2027 rose 3.5 points to 1,702.5.

Turnover increased to 9,574 lots from 7,230 lots on Thursday, while open interest expanded to 48,670 contracts from 46,315 contracts previously. 

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI eased 0.23 of a point to 1,736.48 compared with Thursday’s close of 1,736.71.
