Cybersecurity Firm Horizon3 Sets Up ASEAN HQ In Singapore

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 20 (Bernama) -- Horizon3 is setting up its ASEAN headquarters and a Regional Centre of Excellence in Singapore, with support from the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) and EDBI.

The expansion aims to meet growing demand in Southeast Asia for continuous security testing as artificial intelligence (AI)-driven cyberattacks escalate in speed, scale and sophistication.

“Boards can no longer rely on confidence or compliance checklists; they must be able to prove cyber resilience and prove they are prepared for AI-enabled cyber warfare,” said Horizon3 chief executive officer and co-founder Snehal Antani in a statement.

He said that as AI shortens attack timelines from months to hours, security leaders must be able to continuously verify which vulnerabilities can actually be exploited.

The Singapore base will also support the company’s expansion into Australia and Japan, and Horizon3 plans to increase its local headcount as it scales its sales, customer and partner operations. EDBI is part of SG Growth Capital, the strategic investment platform set up by EDB and Enterprise Singapore.

The expansion follows Horizon3’s US$250 million Series E funding round in August, which valued the company at more than US$2 billion. (US$1 = RM4.07)

It comes as Singapore’s Cyber Security Agency (CSA) reported in its 2025/2026 Singapore Cyber Landscape report that threat actors are increasingly using AI to carry out faster, larger and more sophisticated attacks. According to the report, infected infrastructure in Singapore rose 142 per cent in 2025 to 284,300 systems.

Horizon3’s NodeZero platform autonomously tests the paths an attacker could take through a network, provides guidance on fixing weaknesses and retests to confirm that fixes have worked.

The company said it would use the Singapore expansion to grow its enterprise, mid-market and public-sector business in Southeast Asia. It also plans to deepen partnerships with local managed security service providers, systems integrators and cloud providers, and to work with CSA-led initiatives on AI for cybersecurity and the resilience of critical information infrastructure.
